ADAPTED SOCCER TAKES 2nd PLACE IN MSHL STATE TOURNEY

Congratulations to the Minneapolis Adapted soccer team for earning a second place finish at the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) PI Division Adapted Soccer State Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 15!

The team, which won the title last year, played well in the championship match against the unbeaten Park Center Pirates. MPS senior Abubakarr Heda scored a goal in what was a hard-fought, 2-1 score game. He also received all-tournament honors along with teammates Mariah Artis and Christopher Trejo.

This year’s PI adapted team included students from North, Roosevelt and South high schools. Kudos to these incredible athletes, Head Coach Greg Smith and assistant coaches Jacki Wincek and Trevina Smith for another great season!
