Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, I brought my passion for education to Minneapolis Public Schools in 1998. My journey within MPS has been a deeply rewarding, long-term commitment to our students and families, spanning over 25 years. I am proud to have served in nearly every capacity within a school building—beginning as an Assistant Educator, which grounded me in the daily classroom experience, before serving as a Teacher, Instructional Coach, Literacy District Program Facilitator, and most recently, Assistant Principal at Green Central.
Joining the Roosevelt team is more than just a professional milestone for me; it’s a family affair. My daughter is an avid soccer player and is officially a Teddie! Having her walk these same halls as a student makes my dedication to the success, safety, and culture of this building deeply personal.
Beyond school leadership and student advocacy, I believe in finding balance through joy and movement. I am an avid dancer and find peace whenever I can travel to the ocean. At home, my world revolves around my family and our beloved dog, Frida.
I am incredibly excited to bring my quarter-century of MPS experience to Roosevelt High School. My door is always open, and I look forward to collaborating with our dedicated staff, families, and community to support our students’ bright futures.
